58-inch Table Connect Interfaces with the iPhone

Some guys are working on a new project called Table Connect to bring the iPhone's interface and multitouch capabilities to a 58-inch table (yes, a 58-inch table!). You will be able to connect your iPhone into this table using a special cable so you can use your iPhone touch screen on a screen of 58-inches, imagine it!

Here's what the guys over iPhoneTable says:
We are about to put the final touches on the "iPhone Table" prototype. Table Connect for iPhone is what you have been waiting for, multitouch on steroids!

For now, we start with mock-ups as well. Currently, we are finishing up the work on the alpha release software for the table.

The iPhone is attached via the standard dock connector – immediately after it is attached, the magic starts to happen. The entire content of the iPhone’s screen will be projected onto the multitouch table, still giving full access to all the touch gestures using multitouch technology.
So, the project is currently under development and will be demoed in two days. Stay tuned for the demo and the announcement of this wonderful table. For me, I will get a one, what about you? [via iPhoneitalia]

Unlock Baseband 05.14.02 is Just a Day After iOS 4.2 is Public

Here's some good news for all people over there waiting for baseband 05.14.02 unlock on iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS. Few days ago, MuscleNerd the iPhone hacker of the iPhone Dev Team has replied a user asking him about iPhone 3GS unlock on iOS 4.1. the reply will satisfy you a lot.

Here's what MuscleNerd tweeted in reply to the guy:
MuscleNerd: if you’re on 3G or 3GS, just a day or 2 at most after 4.2 is public (just enough time to verify stuff)
This reply brings both bad and good news, why? because he didn't mention anything about iPhone 4 baseband 02.10.04, this may indicates that iPhone 4 unlock may be delayed and not released at this time.

iOS 4.2 should be released early in November (this is very near). To sum it all up, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G on baseband 05.14.02 will get the unlock early in November. Stay tuned as we will keep you informed whenever iOS 4.2 is available and followed by the unlock.

How to Update/Restore iPhone 3Gs to iOS 4.1 While Preserving Baseband Using CFW

PwnStrap

This procedure should work to bootstrap the restore of any 3GS or later PwnageTool 4.1+ image
(3GS, i4, iPad, AppleTV2)

Windows

Required files:

  • Your PwnageTool cooked 4.1 firmware.
If you don't have one, don't ask us for one. It's not our fault when you die a slow and painful death.
  • My unofficial Windows iRecovery for new Devices.
  • GreenPois0n for Windows.

Automatic Procedure:

  1. Place your device into Recovery Mode.
While the phone is off, hold down the Home button and immediatly plug it into your computer. Or else.
  2. In a command prompt, run irecovery.exe -p Path\To\Firmware.ipsw
  3. Follow the instructions.
If you don't read the actual output from greenpois0n may the fleas of a thousand camels infest your private parts.

Common

Manual Procedure:

  1. Put phone into Recovery mode (NOT DFU)
While the phone is off, hold down the Home button and immediatly plug it into your computer. Or else.
  2. From a command prompt (Start>Run>"cmd"), change to the directory where you extracted irecovery, and enter irecovery -s followed by:
    1. setenv boot-args 2
    2. setenv auto-boot false
    3. saveenv
    4. /exit
Keep this window open for use later on!
  3. Run greenpois0n - it will guide you to enter DFU mode, then it will stop on a white screen after you click "Jailbreak".
It should say "Jailbreak Complete!" and NOT "Jailbreak Failed!" next to the progressbar at the bottom.
  4. Extract the iBSS from your custom PwnageTool image (firmware.ispw/Firmware /dfu/iBSS.BoardID.RELEASE.dfu) into your irecovery folder.
You can use WinRAR or another ZIP extractor to do this. IPSW files are really just ZIP files!
  5. At a command prompt: irecovery -f iBSS
iBSS should be replaced with the name of the iBSS that you just extracted from the pwnagetool image - ie iBSS.n88ap.RELEASE.dfu
  6. At a command prompt: irecovery -s
    1. setenv boot-args 0
    2. saveenv
    3. go image decrypt 0x41000000
    4. go jump 0x41000040
    5. /exit
At the "go jump" point your device should appear to reboot. Whether it goes back to a white screen or shows the Connect to iTunes screen depends on the firmware image used.
  7. Restore your PwnageTool cooked firmware from iTunes.

Exclusive Interview with iH8Sn0w [Man Behind Sn0wbreeze, iREB,iDetector and f0recast]

Few weeks ago we shared an exclusive interview session with MuscleNerd, a core member of the iPhone Dev Team. Today, we got the opportunity to learn more about iH8Sn0w, the kid behind Sn0wbreeze [Windows Version of PwnageTool], iREB, iDetector, f0recast, and few more tools.
In the interview, iH8Sn0w also talked about the upcoming release of Sn0wbreeze 2.1, which is expected to Jailbreak all iOS devices running 4.1.
iH8Sn0w
Greetings! Would you mind introducing yourself to our readers?
My name is Steven. Some people call me Steve. I’m known in the community as the handle ‘iH8sn0w’. You’ve probably heard about me in the Jailbreaking community.
Let’s have a quick look into your bio. We, just like our readers, would like to know more about the man behind the nickname.
Well… I am currently 15 years old living in Toronto, Ontario (Yeup, Canada). I Had my first computer when I was 2, and built my first application when I was 8. I have had a history in other scenes but not under this Nick. I was formerly involved in MapleStory hacking. But, since Nexon kept making things harder and harder, I moved on.
Speaking of your nickname – how or why was it selected?
Hmm… Simple. 1) I’m Canadian (therefore dislike snow). 2) the ‘i’ in the beginning of my nick is there due to an ‘i’ in almost every apple product. 3) I added the sn0w from the original idea yellowsn0w/ultrasn0w. Put it all together. You’ll get iH8sn0w.
How did you end up becoming an iPhone hacker? Or well, rather, how did you become involved in iPhone hacking scene?
Well, originally, everybody called me fake in the community. and I can see why with all of the fakes these days. I started development on ‘iREB’ back in August of 2009 which was very very poorly coded. Nothing big, I maybe had about 200 followers. Nothing big. When I announced one day that I was searching through the 3G/3GS baseband for a crash people didn’t care. The only time they started to care is when I announced I found a useful crash in the baseband. Drama started to happened right about here. MuscleNerd was calling me out daring to send him the command. However, while this was going on, I kept getting @replies saying” fake!!! Go away!!” and stuff like that. This made me very furious and I posted the baseband command on Twitter. geohot then came into contact with the command and announced that it was not exploitable. However, he then looked again and found a way to exploit it. Thus bringing blacksn0w to 05.11.07/3.1.2 users. When geohot wrote a blog post about it, he credited me + added me to his whitelist for jailbreak devs. Things picked up here.
A lot of folks wonder what it takes to become an iPhone hacker. How easy is it to get into the scene and what sort of knowledge does one require?
To be honest. Getting into the scene today is not so easy because its not as easy as the 1.x days. Patches and exploits are harder. I would say that intelligent people would be able to enter the scene no problem, especially with experience from other scenes (e/x comex). But, if you would like to learn as much as possible. All public knowledge of iPhone hacking is posted on TheiPhoneWiki.
Although you collaborate with The iPhone Dev Team and The Chronic Dev Team you choose to release your tools under your own brand, ih8sn0w, instead of officially joining one of these groups of devs. What gives?
I don’t think the Dev-Team likes me. MuscleNerd specifically ignores me for no reason. As for the chronic dev-team, They are AWESOME! I talk regularly with the members of the chronic devteam. If I get stuck at times, and I ask if they found a solution to the obstacle, they would tell me. We are friends.
Joining the teams is not up to me. You need to be invited. I doubt the iPhone-Dev would ever accept me. As for the chronic dev-team, one can dream.
So are you a one-man-army, or are there other people on your team?
At this moment, I work by myself. At times, I do ask people in irc or members of the chronic dev-team for assistance.
After Limera1n jailbreak for iOS 4.1 was released by geohot you’ve announced plans to update Sn0wbreeze with his exploit. How is your work on that progressing?
Well, work is progressing very good! Adding 5 new devices to sn0wbreeze takes time, and people need to understand that. Also, with the new lockscreen bug announced, Apple will surely push a new firmware to patch it and patch the untetherness of the current jailbreaks. Which is why I urge users to get their blobs, that way, when the time comes, they’ll be ready.
We’ve heard that Sn0wbreeze development has hit some snags since you’re not getting the help you need from the iPhone Dev Team. Is this the reason we’re still waiting for Sn0wbreeze 2.1 while pwnage tool for Mac is already available?
Not true. Its just due to the fact of how big this update is, makes the process slow. Especially as a one man army
We’ve already seen some videos of functioning Sn0wbreeze 2.1 beta posted online. When could we approximately expect to see it released – in a few days or in a few weeks?
Well, the video that I saw posted on this blog isn’t going to be sn0wbreeze 2.1. Its far too early in stages to even be used. Maybe when 5.0 hits.
Which devices will Sn0wbreeze 2.1 support?
All of them. Every iOS up to 4.1.
What are the new features we could expect from this new version of Sn0wbreeze (v2.1) that we did not see in previous releases?
  • 5 new devices.
  • I improved the stability majorly
  • Sandbox patches are properly done. (so chpwn doesn’t have to bother telling me its broken).
  • Enable HDR
  • and Install SSH
What about iReb, how soon could we expect an updated version and what could we expect from it?
sn0wbreeze 2 has iREB built in, so the standalone app will be in a few days after sn0wbreeze 2.1 is out.
What are your plans for the future: do you plan to simply keep updating your tools or are there any major plans for new hacking tools in store?
It depends on what Apple throws us.
After Sn0wbreeze 2.1 the most talked about topic among the iPhone users community these days is the (hopefully) incoming “true”unlock for iOS 4.1 powered devices (such as new iPhone 4 units that ship with this iOS version preloaded). As someone who possesses inside knowledge on this topic, how soon do you think it will arrive -if ever-?
I don’t think we’ll see an unlock for 4.1. Maybe 4.2, but that all depends if a new useful baseband crash is found.
You’re doing an invaluable service for the entire iPhone community. Is there any way we could return the favor?
Users always have the option to donate via PayPal on http://iH8sn0w.com
But it is not required
Any last words for our readers?
No matter how many times the “big boys” try to bring you down, keep fighting.
There you have it guys an exclusive iH8Sn0w Q&A session. While, there is no ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) on the Sn0wbreeze Tool, I don’t see any reason for him not to release it once the tool is completed and thoroughly tested. So, stay tuned and stay connected.

White iPhone 4 Delayed Until Spring 2011

Yesterday we informed you that you can start reserving your white iPhone 4 from the app store app on your device. Unfortunately, earlier today, we were shocked by a new report that a representitve from the Cupertion based company has informed Reuters that white iPhone 4 delayed until spring of 2011. That was really shocking!

(Reuters) - Apple Inc said on Tuesday that it would delay release of its eagerly anticipated white iPhone again, this time until next spring.
If you are a tech fan, you may know that this is the third delay for white iPhone 4, first when they launched it, second when Apple reported that it will be available later this year, and now we have to wait to the spring of 2011. This also indicates that all rumors about iPhone 5 in 2011 are killed now, what do you think?

Security Hole in iOS 4.1 Means iOS 4.1.1 Coming Soon, Save Your SHSH Blobs NOW

If you are one of our readers, you may know that there's a major security hole in iOS 4.1 (and iOS 4.2 beta too) allows to you to bypass your lock code and make phone calls even when phone is locked. We already tried it on jailbroken and non-jailbroken devices and it works like a charm!
This lockscreen security flaw makes it very possible that iOS 4.1.1 coming very soon as Apple likes to close any security holes, real quick. But, they won't fix only this lockscreen security flaw, they will also close the untethered hacks from comex merged in Limera1n and GreenPois0n jailbreak. The Limera1n and GreenPois0n will still allow jailbreaking, but we would have to re-jailbreak, every time the device is rebooted.

So, if you want really to keep your current jailbreak safe and untethered, so it'd be better not to update to the new iOS 4.1.1 and save your SHSH blobs now. Stay tuned as we will inform you when the new update is available.

There's a simple technique for how to do this, you just have to lock your iPhone with a passcode then press emergency call and type a non existing number (as ###). Next tap the call button and immediately hit the lock button. It should open up the Phone app where you can see all your contacts, call any number, etc.

Windows 8 to Hit the Shelves in 2012, Says Microsoft

Microsoft Netherlands spread the word about Microsoft Windows 8's release time. In a blog post on Microsoft's Dutch website, Microsoft says that Windows 8 will is about two years away from hitting the store shelves. Also, Microsoft's Windows 8 should be riskiest product, CEO of Microsoft says in an interview.
Furthermore, Microsoft is of course the next version of Windows. But it will take about two years before "Windows 8" on the market.
If you think about it, two years is very far, so Microsoft must be planning to include some impressive features in their new version of Windows to stay competitive. Earlier in June, a slide deck on Windows 8 leaked suggesting that it should include an App Store for Windows, improved startup and sleep times and other things. [via CNET]

Ballmer: Microsoft Next Riskiest Product is the Upcomming Wnidows

Windows is the most used OS in the world today, and Windows 7 had achieved a great commercial success. But Now according to the CEO of Microsoft the product they are working on it is the most riskiest one to release and that product is called Windows 8.
According to reports the Windows next version is said to be released in 2012, Microsoft already had some Major issues whe they released the most important OS (Hello Vista) and this time they are getting more & more cautious about the new version of Windows. Ballmer said that wnidows 8 will be the "Riskiest Product Bet".The reason is still Unknown why this product is considered much riskier by Ballmer.

Android Gingerbread Arrives at Google HQ [Video]

Yes that's right! The new version of Android will be named "Gingerbread", no more rumors. The folks over at Google have dished a few details on Gingerbread (Android 3.0). Although it's not officially announced, the name has been confirmed by a video uploaded on Youtube by AndroidDevs shows the Gingerbread statue arriving in a truck at Google’s HQ, being moved to the left of Froyo’s statue and then being erected by Google employees.

What about the new features included in this Gingerbread? Well, earlier this month, Android chief and vice president of engineering explained:
"More forms of communication. I think social media is a form of communication," Rubin said. "I think you would just talk about general improvements to the platform and make it faster and more robust. I think gaming is an area that I think is underserved right now. We're actually going through a reinvention of casual gaming. If you look at a console game like an XBOX or a PlayStation or a Nintendo, I think it's very, "sit down and try to get to the maximum level possible." On cell phones and devices that are battery operated, I think there's more kind of "what do you do in between the times when you're doing something?" It's more about running a game to fill time rather than running a game to be a dedicated event."
Let's move to the video, watch Google employs confirming Gingerbread:

Download iOS 4.1 Custom Firmwares iPhone 4 / 3GS / 3G

Of course you know that PwnageTool 4.1 was out this week to jailbreak all iOS devices on iOS 4.1 and also preserves the baseband to keep your carrier unlock. The problem is that it's a complicated process and it only works on Windows. So, for all who suffering from those problems, we could get pre-jailbroken iOS 4.1 custom firmwares [credit goes to iPhoneHeat].

STEP 1: Download the iOS 4.1 custom firmware for your device at the end of the page. Also download and install iTunes 10.

STEP 2: Join the splited custom firmwares you downloaded using BetterZip for Mac OS X or HJSplit for Windows to make them only one .IPSW file.

STEP 3: Start iTunes and put your iPhone into DFU mode by following this steps:

  • Hold Power and Home buttons for about 10 seconds
  • Then release the Power button but without releasing the Home button for 10 more seconds
  • Your device should now be into DFU mode

STEP 4: Now, You will have to restore your iPhone to the jailbroken custom firmware by Clicking on the iPhone icon on the left sidebar of iTunes then hold left “alt” button (“Shift” button on Windows) on the keyboard and then click on “Restore” then release the alt button, now Select the custom firmware you already download and let iTunes go in a bunch of process.

STEP 5: After your iPhone is restored and jailbroken successfully. Unlock iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G using Ultrasn0w carrier unlock.

Dev Team Releases PwnageTool 4.1 to Jailbreak iOS Devices for Life

Just a couple of hours back, iPhone Dev Team released a new and updated version of PwnageTool to jailbreak iPhone 4, 3GS, 3G, iPod touch 4G, 3G, 2G, Apple TV 2G on iOS 4.1 and iPad on iOS 3.2.2. This tool is based on creating pre-jailbroken custom firmwares, so, you can upgrade your iOS device using this jailbroken custom firmware.

The most important feature in PwangeTool that it preserves iPhone 4, 3GS, 3G basebands, so you can upgrade to higher firmware without updating your baseband. In brief, it will keep your device unlocked. This tool will untethered all A4 devices (i.e. iPhone 4, iPod touch 4G, iPad, Apple TV 2G) for life. It works on Mac OS X only, we will be back with full how-to guide, stay tuned for that!

Use Adobe Flash on Your Your Jailbroken iPhone 4 Easy Steps [How to]

You Can Now Easily Jailbreak Your iphone 4 Running IOS 4.1 Using Limera1n Once You Finish Jailbreak For Your iphone 4 can be customized in many ways. However, more importantly you have the ability to add features via apps that

Apple doesn’t endorse. You won’t see these  apps in the regular iTunes App Store on your iPhone 4. Instead you’ll have to download or purchase these apps like Frash, an app that puts Adobe’s Flash player on your iPhone 4, from the Cydia store instead.

Today i am Going To Show You How To Add Flash Playback To Your iphone 4  in Three Easy Steps By Using An App Called "Frash" By @Comex

First Step: is To Launch Cydia App On Your iphone 4  And Tap Manage

Step 2 :Add the Source for the Frash app by tapping Sources, Edit, and Add. A dialog opens reading Enter Cydia/APT URL immediately following the provided “http://” enter repo.benm.at and tap Add Source. Once this is completed tap Return to Cydia

And Last Step 3 : Install Frash by tapping Search and enter Frash as the search criteria. Tap Frash – Flash for iOS then tap Install and then Confirm. Frash will begin to install taking only a few minutes or less. Once it is completed tap Return to Cydia.

Frash is now installed on your iPhone 4 and ready to go. Launch Safari and navigate to http://www.adobe.com to try it out. Initially you’ll see a gray place holder labeled Flash for the flash content on a web page. If you tap it you’ll see the flash content start to play.

The content that I tested and experimented with was either hit or miss as far as the results went during testing. It worked some of the time and often did not work at all or crashed, but it is still some what useful for Flash games and videos.

Normally, there is an option called Frash Toggle for SBSettings which is an app that will allow you to toggle Frash on and off. I usually recommend installing that app also, but the currently available version only works on iOS 3.2. You’ll see a warning from Cydia about this prior to installing it. Hopefully the author will find some time to update the app to iOS 4.1 so you could install it yourself later. I skipped it for the time being with the hope of keeping the jailbroken iPhone 4 stable.

White iPhone 4 Spotted, Owner Explains Why You Can't Have One

If you’ve been waiting for a white iPhone 4, you’ll wait more. Today's reports from Pocket-lint shows a real white iPhone 4 spotted in New York. They spotted a reporter at a recent press event using his white iPhone 4. They went near to him and they asked about the way he got it, he answered that a friend of his at Apple HQ hooked him up with the device. Then, they asked him about the reason of delay.

Well, according to our jacket wearing gent, Apple is having trouble getting its two suppliers in the Far East to match the white used in the manufacturing of the parts. The white home button colour doesn’t match the white front face plate colour, it turns out.
There have been a lot of reasons floating on the web as color issues and light leak. In my opinion, I don't think that this home button would take much. Well, I don't think that Apple would delay a device for months because of matching the color of a button. What do you think?

Limesn0w Unlock Tool Will Never be Real !

A few days ago we had hopes when we reported you about the Limesn0w unlock tool which was expected as a new surprise from Geohot to unlock basebands 05.14.02 and 02.10.04 on iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4G on iOS 4.1, but now Geohot cut in any doubt, when he announced that Limes0w unlock tool will never be real in his limesn0w.com website.

This will never be real. Media, understand it. ~geohot
So that, if you see any picture or video claiming the unlock of those basebands by limesn0w, they are completely fake.

We have no choice but waiting the new unlock from the Dev-team, for who don't know, the unlock for the above mentioned basebands will be released after iOS 4.2 official release by November.

Apple Shipped 2 Million Macs in the U.S. During Q3 of 2010 and Became Third Largest PC Seller

New reports from CNET showing that Apple has shipped 1.99 million Macs in the U.S. during the third quarter of 2010. That's big! It's 10 percent of all PCs shipped in the U.S. during this period. So, Apple became the 3rd largest PC seller in the U.S.! HP tops the PC sellers by 24.3 percent share followed by Dell's 23.1 percent share.

According to the Quarterly PC Tracker Survey released by IDC today, Apple shipped 1.99 million Macs in the U.S. during the third quarter of 2010. That's good for 10.6 percent of the 18.9 million PCs shipped in the U.S., putting Apple's share at its highest in the U.S. in the company's history, according to IDC.
It's a good point for Apple that they could sell all these Macs in this period and I think that Mac sales will increase after the “Back to the Mac” media event next Wednesday. Another interesting thing in the report says that iPad may be the Mac fighter! So we can say Apple fights itself. [via CNET]

LiveClock is available for free via BigBoss repository. Some users are reporting issues with it but I personally think that it works great! [via FSM]

Download Greenpois0n to Jailbreak iPhone 4, iPod touch 4G on iOS 4.1 and iPad on iOS 3.2.2

After waiting for a month, the all-in-one untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.1 and iOS 3.2.2 is finally here. Available for both Windows and Mac OS X – GreenPois0n is USB-based one click app, like Blackra1n and Spirit which can jailbreak (not unlock) iPhone 4, iPod touch 4G on iOS 4.1, and iPad on iOS 3.2.2. Other devices are not supported in the tool.

Greenpois0n supports the following devices:
  • iPhone 4
  • iPhone 3GS
  • iPod touch (4th Generation)
  • iPod touch (3rd Generation)
  • iPad
For those of you who don’t know, GreenPois0n is based on a low-level bootrom exploit which Apple won't be able to patch with a new iOS firmware; instead, they will have to introduce a new hardware for the current devices to close the loophole. That means all existing 4th-generation devices now can be jailbroken forever thanks to GreenPois0n! We will be back with quick how-to guides soon, stay tuned for that !!

Save SHSH Blobs of iOS 4.1 Now, Apple About to Patch Limera1n Untethered Hack [Warning]

Hurry up, backup your SHSH blobs of iOS 4.1 for your iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, as Apple has just announced that it already has the fix of the daylight savings bug in its alarm clock application for iPhones that causes recurring alarms to go off an hour early, the fix will be available in the upcoming software update.

Apple: We're aware of this issue and already developed a fix which will be available to customers in an upcoming software update.
It makes sense that Apple will fix Comex's untethered hack. What that mean limera1n will be tethered jailbreak.  Remember JailbreakMe, it has been released 1st August, after 10 days Apple released iOS 4.0.2 and 3.2.2 to fix the JailbreakMe PDF exploit, it was exactly on 11th August. So if we apply the same scenario, we will expect that Apple will roll out its new firmware may be iOS 4.1.1 and 3.2.3 on next Thursday 19th October.

So we highly recommend to save your SHSH blobs of iOS 4.1 for your iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, as soon as possible. Feel free to discuss any problems in our comments section. [via ZDnet]

LimeSn0w to Unlock iOS 4.1 On its Way By Geohot?

It may be real! Geohot may surprise us (again!) with a new unlock solution for iOS 4.1 on iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G using Limesn0w. The video below shows iPhone 3GS running iOS 4.1 on baseband 05.15.01 unlocked using Limesn0w solution via Limera1n jailbreak which was released two days ago. It would be a real surprise.

Of course there's a lot of users have updated to iOS 4.1 and now their devices on baseband 05.15.01 or 02.10.04 which is not unlockable at the moment. So Geohot may really surprise us Limesn0w.
The domain http://limesn0w.com is registered by Geohot, the same info as http://limera1n.com but the site indicates that "This will never be real.", you know, surprises! Geohot didn't say any word about that, we'll keep you updated at any update happens.

Unlock Baseband 05.14.02 / 2.10.4 Significant Progress

After you have enjoyed your jailbreak with lime flavor by limera1n jailbreak on iPhone 4/3GS , iPod touch 4G/3G and iPad on iOS 4.0/4.1 and 3.2.2, most of you are asking eagerly about the unlock for basebands 5.14.02 and 2.10.4, today we have a significant progress on this matter, as Sherif Hashim has just sent a tweet announcing that he succeeded on 1st step on both sides.

since nearly all my received tweets ask about both BB, I can report very early "initial" 1st step success on both sides, calmed down? :)
A new exploitable baseband crash has been found. An unlock will very likely be released after iOS 4.2 and will unlock both BB's of 4.1 & 4.2
And now Veeence is mentioning the discovery of new exploitable baseband crash, and confirming again about ETA for the unlock which is very likely be released after iOS 4.2 official release by November, so that it will be able to unlock both basebands of iOS 4.1 and 4.2.

New Cydia Update Coming Out Tommorow?

Everyone who got his iPhone, iPod or iPad jailbroken successfully with Limera1n, is getting some issues with Cydia servers and downloading Cydia store apps, so a new Cydia update may be rolling out tomorrow for all users.

The screenshot below is the status of Cydia posted by Jay Freeman on Cydia itself and it's saying:

(Please be kind to the servers; I recommend returning tomorrow. I am not here today.) :(
So that may indicates that the new Cydia update is coming out tomorrow or may be he will just fix the issues without updating Cydia servers. We'll keep you informed and updated if any changes happened. [Thanks Will for hat tip]
