Dev Team: No iOS 4.0.2 / iOS 3.2.2 Jailbreak, Wait for iOS 4.1

JailbreakMe was released few weeks ago to jailbreak iOS 4 / 4.0.1 on iPhone 4 / 3GS and iOS 3.2.1 on iPad. Comex discovered a security hole in Apple by installing Cydia on your device as PDF files, so Apple released iOS 4.0.2 for iPhone and iPod Touch, iOS 3.2.2 for iPad to fix PDF exploit . iPhone Dev Team said that there's no jailbreak for iOS 4.0.2 and iOS 3.2.2, just wait for iOS 4.1 to be released.

No, there won’t be. FW 4.0.2/3.2.2 was *only* released to fix the jailbreakme hole. With FW 4.1 still in its beta stages, it makes no sense to escalate the “cat & mouse” with Apple for FW updates that only fix the jailbreak holes. To quote WOPR, “the only winning move is not to play”.

If the cat & mouse game escalates too quickly, especially during beta FW periods, nobody but Apple benefits. For this reason, there won’t be a 4.0.2/3.2.2 jailbreak specifically during the period where 4.0.2/3.2.2 is the latest public release. At best, some future 4.1x FW jailbreak *may* be compatible with 4.0.2/3.2.2 (but don’t count on that).
Dev Team just wanted to tell users who updated to the latest iOS firmware and are stuck without a jailbreak, "don’t expect a jailbreak for iOS 4.0.2 / 3.2.2"

iOS 4.1 is still in beta, so they can't decide if they can jailbreak iOS 4.1 or it still not jailbroken. So we have to wait till iOS 4.1 released on September, can it be announced in Apple's special event on September 1st? or it's a musical event to announced iPod Touch 4G and iTV.

You can expect a jailbreak to be available after Apple pushes iOS 4.1 to public, You will be able to jailbreak with JailbreakMe again if you have your iOS 4.0.1 SHSH blobs saved, or you will have to wait longer!
